This course is suitable for students who have an interest in understanding current issues facing New Zealanders, the Science behind these and the actions that can be taken to resolve them. Students doing a senior science course will gain a greater depth to their science course and supports entry into tertiary studies.

New Zealand, Drugs in Sport (student choice). - Environmental Issues e.g. ocean acidification, the impact of dairy farming on our waterways (class choice).
- Investigate how farmers can reduce damage to the environment (optional)
